Scarring / Stretch Marks
At Ministry of Skin Australia we can assess your skin and individualise a plan to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
Stretch marks are thin white, pigmented, red or purple lines. They usually occur on the body in areas that have had sudden changes in body size, such as during pregnancy, puberty, or rapid weight gain.
They occur when the skin is pulled by rapid growth or stretching. Although the skin is usually elastic, when it is overstretched, the normal production of collagen, the major protein that makes up the connective tissue in your skin, is disrupted. As a result, scars called stretch marks may form.

Ministry of Skin is a RACGP accredited clinic.
Stretch marks can hugely affect a persons confidence and simple measures often do not improve them.
At Ministry of Skin Australia we can assess your skin and individualise a plan to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Most plans are for the long term as what you do at home, what your skin is exposed to in the future and treatments you decide to have done all need reassessment and continued maintenance.
Treatments required are all assessed on an individual basis and what suits one may not suit another. It is often possible that a combination of treatments are required to best treat the stretch marks concerned. At Ministry of Skin Australia we listen to your concerns and give you trusted advise of the options available to you.
