Ministry of Skin is a RACGP accredited clinic.

Skin Resurfacing and Skin Rejuvenation can often appear the same thing and lead to confusion. Skin rejuvenation involves improvement of ANY of your skin concerns, but is most often applied to the aim of anti ageing or improving the signs of ageing.

Skin resurfacing does exactly what it says – it removes the surface of the skin with the aim of a new surface coming through that has an improved texture, clarity and overall skin appearance. The number of skin layers removed depends on the modality used.

Skin resurfacing procedures may be performed for cosmetic reasons, such as diminishing the appearance of wrinkles or it can be used as a medical treatment, such as removing certain precancerous lesions called solar keratosis or actinic keratoses.
