Carbon Peel

A Carbon Peel works wonders on congested, oily skin with open pores and blackheads.

Although called a peel, this treatment is actually a purifying and brightening laser treatment.

A carbon peel is a completely painless laser treatment with minimal downtime. It is great for people with dull skin, enlarged pores, blackheads, and oily skin to give a porcelain-like result.

Although called a peel, this treatment is actually a purifying and brightening laser treatment. Its main use is in the reduction of pores, to restore the skins sebum balance, reduce excess oil, even out texture and to deeply cleanse the skin, which is why it is also known as the china doll peel for its reputation to give a porcelain like complexion.

The treatment involves a number of steps. First, the laser is used to clean the pores. Carbon is then rubbed deep into the skin’s pores to absorb the skin’s toxins and excess oils. The laser is then applied, being attracted to the colour black it heats the carbon. On absorbing the laser energy, the carbon particles explode removing the dead skin within the pores. This means the laser specifically heats deep within the pores to shrink, purify and tighten them whilst also stimulating new collagen, resulting in an illuminated, tighter skin complexion with fewer pores.

It is a relaxing warming treatment without any discomfort for those wishing for a deep exfoliation to enhance skins radiance whilst improving the skin’s tone and texture, especially in regards to pores and excess oil.

How is the procedure performed?

You will lie comfortably on one of our treatment beds with laser goggles protecting your eyes. The laser will be used to cleanse the skin’s pores and remove any surface debris. A layer of carbon will then be rubbed into the skin so it goes deep into your pores. The carbon will also absorb the skin’s dead cells, dirt and oils. The laser will then heat the carbon. The laser is attracted to the carbon deep within the pores and the skin’s surface. As it fragments the carbon it will shrink the pores and remove impurities and debris to give a porcelain-like result.
